Windows

With painstaking care, the original cast iron windows have been taken back to bare metal and received two coats of the appropriate primer paint.

The right side opener showing first level of paint removal with bare metal starting to show through the years of paint and rust.

This particular window had not been opened we believe since around 1964, but with patience, lots of WD40 and gentle but firm pressure, it has been eased back into an opening state.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for opener, on the left side which was temporarily repaired and then sealed closed some years ago in order to prevent illegal entry into the building.

This is going to have to be very  carefully removed and sent away for  repair.
